HomePrivacy
A plain-language account of what this site, the Bodega California Guide, actually collects. No legal boilerplate, just what the code does.
If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you enter are sent as an email through the Resend email service to the person who runs this site. That email is not published, sold, or shared with any other party. The form also records, for one hour at a time and only in the server's working memory, how many submissions have come from your IP address, to keep the form from being used to send bulk mail; that count is not written to a database and does not persist.
Reasonable questions about visiting, corrections, listing updates, and photo permission requests are all welcome. This form cannot make reservations for the Casino Bar & Grill or any other village business, and it is not monitored for emergencies. Call 911 for those.
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, run by the same company that hosts the site. Web Analytics records aggregate, cookieless visit data such as which pages are viewed, the referring site, and general device and location information derived from the request; Speed Insights records page-load performance metrics. Neither tool sets a cookie in your browser, and neither is used for advertising.
This site carries no advertising and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. It does not set any cookies of its own.
Photographs on this site are loaded from a small set of allowed image hosts: cdn.raster.app (and its short-link domain, rstr.in), images.unsplash.com, and upload.wikimedia.org. When a page loads an image from one of these hosts, that host sees your IP address and basic request information, the same as any server you request an image from. This site does not control what those hosts do with that information.
For any question about this policy, use the contact page.
